Join our friends in drag as they read estuary-themed picture books, perform a nautical sing-along, and lead a craft activity to make rainbow jellyfish to take home! Interpreters will also introduce families to our animal ambassadors, and guests will get to help feed fish, shrimp, sea stars, and more! Don’t forget to stop by our merch booth and visit our Fins and Friends photo booth to make memories to keep forever.
This fun marine-themed event will raise funds for both Stonewall Youth and the Puget Sound Estuarium, bringing together marine life stewards and enthusiasts as well as LGBTQIA2S+ youth and their supporters. Beyond raising funds, this event will serve as an opportunity for youth performers to be highlighted on stage and gain confidence and experience alongside the mentorship of more experienced performers.
Join hosts the Burley Barnacles Drag Crew as they invade Wildman Gastropub (Olympia, WA) on Friday, June 14th, from 8 to 10pm! For Pride 2024, these salty dogs will entertain with an evening of marine-themed drag acts featuring many special guests! Walk the Plank: Drag on the Salish Sea aims to raise funds for the Puget Sound Estuarium’s sea centered educational programs. Come show your support for our local estuary while learning facts about local waterways and the animals that reside in them. You can’t miss this evening of food, drink, and merriment in celebration of marine life!
