It’s time for the Endangered Species Art Contest with the Puget Sound Estuarium! This year we are looking for submissions that capture the endangered species of the Pacific Northwest!
All artwork will be displayed at the Estuarium from April through May, during which the public can submit their votes for the Estuarium’s grand prize and category winners! Winning artwork will be posted online, displayed at the Estuarium, and each winner will receive two free tickets to a Pier Peer event. Washington is home to over 40 threatened or endangered plants and animals, and Endangered Species Day (May 19th, 2023) is a great opportunity to learn about and take action to protect them. See the list of Washington’s endangered species below.
Submission Details
Artwork is due by April 23rd, 2023. To submit finished artwork, please fill out the submission form below and then drop your artwork off during Estuarium open hours, 11am – 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. If you have a digital submission, you may simply upload a digital file (JPEG, PNG, or PDF) via the same form.

Rules:
-Create a piece of art based on a Pacific Northwest endangered species!
-Artwork format: paper, a canvas, a shadowbox, or mounted art
-Size: No larger than 9x 12
-All art submitted must be original – no tracing or AI art
-Digital art accepted as long as it fits the same parameters listed
-Photographs must be submitted digitally

Competición de arte!
El Estuarium (el acuario de Olympia) esta aceptado arte estudiantil de animales que estan en peligro de extinción en el noroeste pacifico de los Estados Unidos. Los ganadores se va a tener su arte en nuestra pagina de web y en el aquario. Cada ganador se va a ganar dos boletos para nuesto evento Pier Peer (valor $15).

– Formato: digital, papel o canvas.
– Talla: No mas que 9 x12 pulgadas

– Arte original -no dibujos trazados ni arte de arte de inteligencia artifical (arte de AI).
