What is Give Local?
Give Local is an annual two-week giving campaign, hosted by the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound and designed to raise awareness and support for nonprofits throughout Thurston, Mason, and Lewis Counties. Between October 30th – November 17th, you can become a part of this fantastic collaborative fundraising effort and support the causes close to your heart in the South Sound!
This is the best time of year to donate to the Estuarium!
Every donation made through Give Local between October 30th and November 17th is boosted by a Bonus Fund, enhancing the value of every dollar. For instance, if a nonprofit organization receives 5 percent of the total donations made during Give Local, that same nonprofit will also receive 5 percent of the $100,000 Bonus Fund (up to $7,500 per organization). Additionally, The Community Foundation of South Puget Sound and their sponsors cover credit card fees when you donate through their platform, ensuring that 100% of every dollar raised through Give Local goes directly toward supporting the Estuarium and the programs we run for our community.

How to make a donation
Donations to the Estuarium during Give Local must be submitted to the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound on their secure web platform below or via check. If you would like to make a donation via check, it is important that you make out the check to, “Community Foundation of South Puget Sound,” and write “Puget Sound Estuarium,” in the memo line. Checks made out to the Estuarium or mailed to our organization will not be counted towards our Give Local fundraising goal.
