Internships
The Estuarium internships offer a wide range of hands on experiences for participants. Interns with the Estuarium get the to build skills in K-12 environmental education, non-profit management, community outreach, animal husbandry and more, all while assisting in our programming.

Environmental Education and Non-profit Internship
This Estuarium internship program provides college students and recent graduates with environmental education and animal husbandry experience, as well as experience with working at a small non-profit organization. While the majority of the internship will be spent assisting the Education Coordinator by provide hands-on field trips to K-12 school groups, leading beach investigations, and delivering marine programs for the community; this position will require staffing the information desk, helping in facilities maintenance, and assisting with administrative projects.

Communications & Community Development Internship
This Estuarium internship program provides college students and recent graduates with communications and community development experience, as well as experience with working at a small non-profit organization. This internship will assist in translating K-12 Education curriculum, Estuarium exhibits (both virtual and printed), and marketing materials. This position will help create opportunities to engage the Latinx community and enhance the Estuarium’s programs to meet community outreach needs.

Communications and Development Coordinator
Full Time: 40 hours/week, $20/hour
The Communications and Development Coordinator is responsible for promoting the Estuarium’s mission, education programs, and fundraisers, both online and in person at events. The major responsibilities of this position include creating physical and online promotional materials, coordinating our permanent and rotating exhibits, leading our Exhibits and Outreach Team of volunteers and staff, and assisting the Executive Director with grant writing and fundraising initiatives.

Contract Educators
Hours depend on Field Trips
Contract Educators hired by the Estuarium work directly with our Education Coordinator to assist in coordinating field trips and education events. Applications can be submitted year round.
