Discovery Speaker Series: Climate Action Through Art with Carrie Ziegler

Tune in via Zoom on November 2nd at 6:30 PM for a journey into the world of Climate Action Through Art with Carrie Ziegler. You may have seen her work up around downtown, most notably the large Estuarium Mural on the back of our building and the Plankton Mural in the Old School Pizza parking lot. She also recently collaborated with the Thurston Climate Action Team and many others to create The Climate Justice Mural seen along Olympic Way.

Carrie is an international artist, speaker, and expert in collaborative art. Her mission is to inspire action and she has personally witnessed how art can impact individuals and facilitated projects that have changed laws. With her background in environmental education her work focuses on creating solutions to complex social and environmental issues. Through collaborative art people can break down barriers, take action, process difficult concepts, and open hearts.

If you are interested in social justice, climate change, and leaving this world a better place for all this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss! Join us for our 2nd Discovery Speaker Series of the 2023-2024 season.

Young ones are invited to join in the virtual talk by following along with coloring pages related to the Discovery Speaker Series topics that will be available for download prior to the event. Coloring pages can also be picked up at the Estuarium during our weekend open hours.
